1. Overview

Link Games is designed to be played without creating an account. We do not require your email address, name, or any personal login. We collect only the minimal data needed to power the global leaderboard.

2. Data We Collect

When you participate in the leaderboard, we collect the following:

• Nickname — a display name you choose yourself at first launch. Stored locally on your device and submitted to the leaderboard when you complete a puzzle.
• Anonymous device identifier — Apple's identifierForVendor, a non-reversible vendor ID used solely to associate your leaderboard scores across sessions. This ID cannot identify you personally and resets if you uninstall the app.
• Country / region — derived from your device's locale setting (e.g. "US"). Used to display a flag next to your leaderboard entry.
• Puzzle completion time — the time in milliseconds it took you to complete each daily puzzle, submitted to the global leaderboard.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, payment information, or any other personal data. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

4. How We Use Your Data

All collected data is used exclusively to:

• Display your score and rank on the daily and global leaderboards
• Allow other players to see your chosen nickname and country flag
• Improve puzzle quality and app performance

5. Data Storage & Third Parties

Leaderboard data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore (Google LLC). Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication — no credentials are stored.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any other third parties. We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics beyond Firebase.

6. Data Retention

Leaderboard entries are retained for a rolling 90 days and then automatically deleted. Your nickname and device ID stored locally on your device persist until you delete the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Link Games is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only user-generated data is a self-chosen nickname. Parents may contact us to request deletion of any data associated with their child's device.

8. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your leaderboard data at any time by contacting hi@linkgames.app with your chosen nickname. Because we do not collect email or personal details, we cannot verify identity beyond nickname matching.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated to reflect any revisions.

By downloading or using Link Games you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The Service

Link Games provides free daily puzzle games for iOS. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

3. Eligibility

The app is free to use and available to users of all ages. Users under 13 must have parental consent. By using the app you represent that you have the legal right to enter into this agreement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or falsify leaderboard scores
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose

5. Leaderboard & Nicknames

Leaderboard participation is optional. You choose your own nickname. You agree not to use nicknames that are offensive, defamatory, or that impersonate another person. We reserve the right to remove any nickname or score at our sole discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

All puzzle content, designs, code, and branding are owned by the developer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

7. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the app.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
